SurveySetu is a market research platform that connects researchers (who need data), panel suppliers (who deliver respondents), and respondents (who take surveys). Each role has its own dedicated dashboard with purpose-built tools — survey builder, bid management, real-time analytics, and more.
There are no subscription fees for any role, and publishing surveys is free right now. Paid, pay-per-complete surveys are paused for now; when they return, researchers fund a wallet in INR and set a CPI — the wallet is debited exactly that CPI per qualified complete, with no extra charges on top.
Researchers publish surveys to the marketplace. Panel suppliers browse available surveys and submit bids with their proposed CPI. The researcher can accept the bid, send a counter-offer, or reject it. Once approved, the supplier receives a unique tracking link to route their respondents through.
Each supplier gets a unique link per survey. When a respondent completes, screens out, or hits a quota-full, the platform records it automatically in real time and redirects them to the URL you configured for that outcome.
Yes. Researchers can download all responses from their analytics dashboard as a formatted XLSX spreadsheet or a branded PDF report at any time — both are included at no extra cost.
As a researcher you build your survey in English. On publish, the survey is auto-translated into 11 Indian languages — Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Urdu and Odia — so respondents can answer in English or any of those, picked from a menu when taking the survey. The platform interface (researcher dashboard, analytics, builder) remains in English.
When creating a survey you can set age range and gender criteria, and add hyperlocal targeting down to district, block or gram panchayat level. Only respondents who match can take the survey — mismatched answers are screened out automatically, and repeat attempts are blocked.
The survey builder supports single and multiple choice, image choice, star rating, scale, NPS, short and long text, dropdown, ranking, Likert grids, date and attention checks. You can show or hide questions based on any earlier answer, repeat a previous answer inside a later question, and shuffle the order of options.
Setu is SurveySetu's friendly guide. While someone takes a survey, Setu shows their progress, cheers them on and can read lines aloud on tap — without ever reacting to their answers. Across the platform, Setu is also the assistant you can chat with about your surveys, wallet, bids and how features work.
After enabling browser notifications, SurveySetu will send you real-time alerts for key events — bid approved or rejected, survey quota reached, and more. Notifications arrive even if the app is in the background. You can enable or disable them from your profile settings.
